We encourage your feedback and love to hear what you think about our services. Here is what some of our carers and volunteers said....
In memory of (carer’s father’s name has been removed for NL purposes) 1925 – 2017. He loved his food so I am donating £100.00 for going to Wetherspoon’s for breakfast, £100.00 for a Global Buffet Lunch for the Ilford Support Group. Plus £100.00 for the Dementia group. Any left over for the monthly meeting.
I came to see you back in August this year. I had previously made two applications for the higher amount of Attendance Allowance on behalf of my father. I am pleased to say that it has just been awarded. He is a very deserving case, but I am sure it is due to your help, that it has now been approved.
Thanks very much.
Thank you RCSS

"Redbridge Carers have been invaluable to me. It is a privilege to be a volunteer and I value the work we are able to help with. Today’s event has been a wonderful experience – delicious refreshments and a fantastic goody bag! Thank you. The atmosphere was so friendly and it is good to meet and share experiences with other volunteers. The yoga and meditation sessions were most helpful and interesting”
“I volunteer to help carers, who have a disabled person to care for. My husband became seriously disabled in 1984 with a virus that paralysed him in 24 hours! I cared for him for 25 years+ The RCSS was recommended to me. They gave me back me! All the classes they run are so important. No one can imagine how stressful caring can be, even carers themselves don’t realise. I am so thankful for the RCSS.”
I just wanted to put in writing my many thanks to the Redbridge Carers Support Service for all the help they have given me this past year. I think, like no doubt many other older carers, that it took a long while for me to recognise myself as a carer. You feel after 56 years of marriage that it is something you should be doing (“for better or worse etc.”). However there comes a time when you feel very lonely and need help and advice. This for me was when I discovered and registered with RCSS and the three older carer support people with whom I have had most contact, Tina, Cathy & Sue could not have been kinder and more helpful, arranging coffee mornings for us carers, assisting me with claim form filling, recommending groups for my husband to attend, organising a befriender to chat to him etc. I never feel I am a nuisance and am always greeted with a friendly voice or face.
Thank you so much RCSS, you are doing a great job!
