At RCSS we understand that volunteer participation contributes greatly to our organisation. We truly value our volunteers amazing support and always welcome applications from new volunteers from all walks of life. We provide training and ongoing support.

As a volunteer your principle role will be to provide support for carers who are at risk of isolation. Volunteer roles vary but it involves making regular visits to the carer and either simply popping round for a cup of tea and a chat to provide vital social interaction, or more practical support such as household chores, gardening, providing transport, support with shopping etc.

All we ask for is a friendly demeanour, caring attitude and an hour or two of your time per week.

We also look for volunteers for a range of other activities including administration work and

help with outings and social events

All volunteers must be willing to undertake a DBS check due to the nature of the role (there is no charge for this).
