Support for Carers Useful Information Cost of Living Information Many carers are experiencing financial challenges during the cost of living crisis. The costs of paid care, essential items like incontinence supplies, and basic goods like groceries continue to increase. Additionally, caring can pose barriers to maintaining employment. At Redbridge Carers Support Service, we are calling for a number of longer-term measures to address the root causes of financial stress for carers. These include a dedicated National Carers Strategy, support for carers to continue and return to paid work, and a review of the level and eligibility rules for carers’ benefits.
