More than 1 in 20 residents of Redbridge are unpaid carers providing support to someone who is ill, disabled, frail or elderly. Unpaid carers contribute roughly £626 million to the Redbridge economy through the care they provide to loved ones (Carers UK). Despite their significant contributions, carers often face barriers, stress and isolation that affect their physical and emotional wellbeing.

Join us in demonstrating appreciation for Redbridge carers by sponsoring a walk this International Women’s Day, March 8th. Carers and RCSS staff will be walking 5 - 10 kilometres to raise funds to improve carer wellbeing. Donations of all sizes will make a difference in the lives of Redbridge carers by funding activities, trips and respite. Donating just £10 will pay for a ticket for a carer to see a theatre performance, £20 will pay towards a day trip outing for carers and £50 will help a carer in getting respite or break to attend an activity or event. Help us improve carer wellbeing and donate to sponsor a walk at Fairlop Waters!
