Dementia Carers

Carers of any age can access specialised 1-1 and group support from our new dedicated Dementia Support Worker, Marie-Anne Roy.

Specialist Advice, Information and Referrals

We work in partnership with a range of outside organisations to ensure both you and the person you care for are on the right support pathway.  We can provide you with information and advice about relevant support services for you and the person you care for and refer you to respite services.

Peer Support and Activities

Join our monthly dementia carers support group and meet other carers and make friends. This group is a great opportunity to socialise and find out what’s going on locally, as we often invite speakers to keep you up to date with useful services. Our group includes music and activities. The group is also open to the person you care for with dementia.

2nd Wednesday of every month, 10.30am-12:30pm, contact [email protected] or call 020 8514 6251 to find out more.

Giving You a Voice

We want to hear from carers of someone with dementia to find out about your experiences and ensure that your voice is heard.  Our support groups can also be forums, where we invite decision makers along to hear directly from you, about the services that matter, including health and social care.  Your feedback can influence local policy and provision.

We have also devised a short questionnaire for you to tell us about the services you access, the difficulties you face and what your interests are.  This will help us to provide support that is tailored to your needs. If you are recently registered with us, you will already have received this questionnaire. If not, we can send you another one.
