Older Carers Connect

We offer dedicated support for older carers aged 65 and over. Our services are designed to help you improve your health and wellbeing and be more socially active.  We can also help you to access key services like social care or respite and check that you are receiving any welfare benefit entitlements.  Due to Covid19 we cannot visit you at home or provide community based services as we would normally. In the meantime we are running on-line health and wellbeing activities and social groups. For more information please click on the health and wellbeing page on this website.

Complementary Therapies

We are not able to provide face to face home therapies but we are developing some on-line therapies which we hope to offer soon. Details will be provided in our newsletter and on this web page.

Volunteer Befriending

There is no need to feel isolated if you find it difficult to get out. One of our trained and vetted volunteers can telephone or video call you at home, for a chat. We also have dedicated volunteers to help you get on-line. They can help you connect with family and friends using video calling applications such as Zoom, Skype and FaceTime.

Staying Active

Improve your fitness and mobility, learn new skills, relax and have fun by joining one of our regular activities, including Tai Chi, Chair Based Exercise, Zumba and Yoga. Our activities are delivered on-line by experienced tutors and are a great way to make new friends and take active steps to improve your overall wellbeing.  Our classes are for all levels of fitness.
