This year, Carers Week is all about Making Carers Visible. Everyone has a part to play in making sure carers are recognised, heard and understood and receive the support and services they need. The extra work that carers are performing at this time of the COVID 19 crisis means carers are unpaid key workers, but they do not get this recognition. Many carers are looking after people who are in long-term shielding situations or who are shielding themselves. All carers should be widely valued, especially for keeping the people they care for out of hospital settings at this critical time for our NHS. Redbridge Carers Support Service has organised a programme of online events to raise awareness of carers to professionals and to offer support and advice to carers in Redbridge and we will continue this way of engaging after Carers Week. Glynis Donovan, Executive Director, Redbridge Carers Support Service.

We have put together a programme with events to raise awareness of carers to professionals and to offer support and advice to carers in Redbridge. To book your place, contact the office on 020 8514 6251 or email [email protected]
