How we Help

  • We offer - Someone to talk to in confidence when you need a friendly listening ear.
  • Information and advice for carers - about services available and facilities, welfare benefits, local and national associations etc...
  • Home Visits - We can arrange for our Community Support Workers to visit you in your home if you are disabled or cannot leave the person you care for.
  • Community Support Workers - RCSS employs a team of part-time outreach carers' workers who each cover a particular area of the borough.
  • Community Drop-in - where carers can meet for mutual support, share experiences and chat in an informal and friendly setting. Carers can also meet with their Community Support Worker for a private chat.
  • Counselling - As a RCSS carer you are entitled to free counselling services - this service is available by appointment only.
  • Complementary Therapy - As a RCSS carer you are entitled to free complementary therapy - all you need to do is phone to book an appointment for a session of hand massage & manicure and/or neck & shoulder massage.
  • Telephone Services - offering an initial contact point for help and support.
  • Information Sheets - information aimed specifically at carer's needs.
  • Training - We offer a wide range of training courses to carers.
  • The Redbridge Carer - a quarterly newsletter for carers.
